Victory Over The Devil (By The 10 R’s)

Illustration: Medieval artists had a particularly graphic way of depicting this struggle and Christ’s victory that followed. On their canvases they would paint the portrait of a man holding a sharp two-edged sword. Wrapped around His feet and legs is a serpent with bared fangs dripping their deadly poison. The two are in a fight to the death. The serpent weaves back and forth seeking an opening, looking for the opportunity to strike a major artery and inject its deadly poison. But all that the snake manages is one little nip at the man’s heels before its head is sliced off. We are in Christ if by faith we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior to lets go forth in HIS example remembering we are HIS BODY in the earth!

Genesis 3:15 says ” And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel”

This is God’s curse upon the serpent who tempted Eve and Adam to sin. Satan is the personality behind the serpent. Even in this curse, even in the recognition of a struggle between the woman’s offspring and Satan, God embeds his promise for our better future. In Jesus, that future comes! Satan appears to win the battle at the Cross, but the passage of three days changes everything. Jesus’ triumph over death leaves him with only a “bruised heel,” but leaves Satan powerless to make death the final word. The Evil One’s best plans and greatest power lie crushed at the doorway of Jesus’ empty tomb! The Spiritual Warrior of the Lord Jesus Christ to victoriously overcome the devil must…
Rehearse the Word of God to devil at times of temptations: Matthew 4:1-11
Remove (cast out) the devils that captivate and possess unbelievers, and oppress the believer, in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ and with prayer and fasting: Matthew 10:1;17:18-21
Rely, by faith, upon the LORD and power of His might; Ephesians 6:10; Hebrews 11:1,6; 12:1-3
Remain suited up with the full armour of the LORD, at all times: Ephesians 6:11-18
Resist the devil, by submission to God: James 4:7
Recognize the devil’s roaring (temptations, devices, and wiles) at all times being sober (spiritually sound of mind) and vigilant (spiritually alert): 1 Peter 5:8-11
Rebuke the devil in the name (person, power, and purpose) of the LORD: Jude 9
Rest, by faith, upon the blood of the Lamb: Revelation 12:11
Renounce the devil with the word of your testimony: Revelation 12:11
Remain faithful even unto death: Revelation 12:11

REMEMBER GOD’S WORD WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
